Job Description
Main responsibilities:
1- Coordinate daily operations of the agricultural mechanics’ team as per the established standards and procedures and, in respect with work planning and cost management.
- Prioritize, in collaboration with his supervisor, the workload plan according to the time and estimated duration of the work.
- Prepare parts purchase requests for provisioning.
- Conduct process research to support the mechanics.
- Conduct rigorous monitoring on the progress of work to ensure that timeline, established standards, procedures are respected and, support employees in performing their work as such.
- Communicate any irregular situation to the immediate supervisor and to the requestor (i.e., delays, unforeseen repairs, unavailable items, etc.) and follow-up.
- Validate work upon completion and ensure that work orders are appropriately completed.
- Communicate to the concerned persons (mechanical farm supervisor, requestor, production coordinator, etc.) the availability of equipment.
2- Provide support to the production coordinator for managing and training of employees
- Participate in the integration and training of new employees and follow up with the supervisor on their progress.
- Monitor the performance of employees on an adhoc basis and follow up with the immediate supervisor.
- Report any employee problem requiring a disciplinary notice to the immediate supervisor and ensure its application.
- Manage the employees of the department.
3- Provide support to the production coordinator in carrying out various projects of the agricultural mechanics department (eg training of agricultural equipment operators, implementation of the preventive maintenance program, etc.).
4- Respect and ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures, good agricultural practices and food safety.
5- Perform all other related tasks.

Knowledge and skills sought!
- Technical diploma in agricultural mechanics or any other relevant training,
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position ideally in an agricultural environment,
- Abilities and skills to manage staff,
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook),
- Knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, welding, heavy machinery and electronics,
- Candidate needs to have an intermediate level of Spanish at least (Be able to read, understand and speak Spanish).
